Neil, Andrew's preschool classmate, invited the kids from his class over to his house in Newburgh Friday for a cookout. They grilled hot dogs, played in the yard and had a great time.
We've neglected the quote of the day, but Andrew just gave us one while I was doing this blog entry.
Andrew "Mommy, why are you rubbing your eyes?"
Elizabeth "I'm tired, I need a pick-me-up"
Andrew "But I'm not strong enough to pick you up."
Nolan was really into trying to blow bubbles.
Instead, he got a mouth full of bubbles!
Andrew took his turn shooting hoops.
Swish! He even nailed a couple!
The boys explored the yard after lunch.

Acros Part Two
We were there for at least 20 minutes and Andrew just watched...he wasn't ready to try anything. Here he studies one of the girls on the trampoline.
Once he got going, he loved it!
And then he really started to get the hang of it. Olympics, here we come!
We couldn't get either one of them off of the Balance Beam.
Andrew and Elizabeth were having a great time during the tumbling exercise.
Nolan had a bit of a breakdown during the snack break.
We finished the day with Andrew's favorite part, running a great distance and then diving into a huge pit filled with spongy toys...
...except he ran out of steam and drive beofre he got there! Oh well, maybe next time.

Balancing act
Andrew's preschool class spent their final day of the school year at Acros, a gymnastics center for kids. It took a while for Andrew to warm up, but he got into the swing of things!
After a few times over the balancing beam, he was joined by his little brother. They both enjoyed it so much they did not want to leave. Come back tomorrow for the full blog post.

Nolan's first haircut!
We finally broke down and took Nolan to get his first haircut. We were prepared for the worst (memories of Andrew's first haircut).
Andrew got his haircut as well and offered moral support to Nolan. He're how it all turned out.
Oh- I've neglected our quote of the day, but Andrew gave us a good one yesterday.
At dinner time, Andrew asked Elizabeth where Dad was and she told him that I was laying down because I wasn't feeling well.
Andrew looked up and said "Does Daddy have the Swine Flu?"
Nolan enters, not having any idea what he was in for.
One last look at his little curls.
Andrew bucked up and went first, showing his little brother how it was done.
We had never given Nolan a sucker before, but it was a wise move on our part.
Going.....going.....
Nolan watches as his big bro shows him the ropes.
Still with the sucker.
Between the television and the sucker, i don't think Nolan had any idea what was going on.
Meanwhile, Andrew was having a great time!
Ta Da! There he is with his new do'.
Oh, and some hair stuck to his chin.
And everyone left happy, and there were no breakdowns!
